Ingunn Sighvatsdóttir

Artist Manager

Ingunn was born in Iceland and grew up with music as an integral part of her life. Her German mother, who was actively involved in music education for children and church music in rural southern Iceland, sparked her passion for singing at an early age. Singing in choirs remained an important part of her life for many years. After studying German, literature, and vocal performance, she moved to Germany, where she gained her first professional experience with the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. In 1994, she settled in Munich and began her career in artist management at KünstlerSekretariat am Gasteig, where she gained valuable early experience in the field.

From 1998 to 2011, Ingunn worked in Italy, initially as an assistant and personal manager to the piano duo Katia & Marielle Labèque in Florence, and later as an artist manager at Prima International and, subsequently, at Stagedoor in Bologna. At these Italian agencies, she was primarily responsible for developing their markets in German-speaking countries and Scandinavia, playing a key role in expanding the international presence and networks of both the agencies and their artists in these regions.

In September 2011, Ingunn joined Boris Orlob Management as an artist manager. Since then, she has worked closely with selected artists of the agency, supporting them in building their international careers. She also oversees the Scandinavian markets, with a particular focus on Finland.

Ingunn communicates with her professional partners in six languages and values a healthy, balanced lifestyle that combines culture and sport. When she is not attending a musical event at the opera or concert hall, she is an enthusiastic sportswoman and enjoys running through Berlin’s many parks and boulevards as she prepares for her next marathon.
