With Haydn's "best stage work" in Potsdam!
From 16 November 2024, Michael Smallwood will be on stage at the Schlosstheater im Neuen Palais in Potsdam as part of the Potsdam Winter Opera. There he will embody the crusader Ubaldo in Haydn's dramatic 'Kammerspiel' about the eponymous sorceress Armida, which many of Haydn's contemporaries described as his “best stage work”.
The piece is conducted by early music specialist Konrad Junghänel and staged by director Björn Reinke.

Performance dates: 16/17/21/23/24/27/29/30 November 2024
