German soprano Katharina Konradi made her successful role debut as Pamina in “Die Zauberflöte” at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden in October of 2016. She was a winner of the singing competition „Deutscher Musikwettbewerb 2016“ in Bonn. Further, she received the special prize by the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation“ for her outstanding performance in the category of singing.

Since the season of 2015/16, the soprano is a member of the ensemble at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where she performs roles such as Juliette (Der Graf von Luxemburg, F. Lehar), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel, E. Humperdinck), Morgana (Alcina, G.Händel), Nannetta (Falstaff, G.Verdi), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart), Adele (Die Fledermaus, J. Strauss), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro, W.A. Mozart), and Woglinde (Rheingold, R.Wagner).

In the season 2017/18, Katharina Konradi will be making her house debut at the Hamburgische Staatsoper as Ännchen in the Konwitschny staging of Der Freischütz, as well as her role debut as Zdenka/Arabella at Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where she will also be on stage as Pamina/Zauberflöte and Gretel/Hansel and Gretel.
In addition to her opera engagements, Konradi will once again be singing numerous concerts, including with Klaus-Maria Brandauer and Thomas Hengelbrock at the Elbphilharmonie, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, Hannover, and Bremen, as well as in Bonn as part of the Schumannfest and the Beethoven-Fest.

Katharina Konradi took her first career steps in the summer of 2013 at the Chamber Opera Munich. In the season 2014/15, she made her debut at Theater Hof as Anne Frank in 'The Diary of Anne Frank' by Grigori Frid. At Universität der Künste in Berlin, she performed the roles of Apamia in Vivaldis’ „Il Tigrane“ as well as Mme.Silberklang und Rosina in Mozart’s operas „Der Schauspieldirektor“ and „La Finta Semplice“.
Katharina Konradi is a prize winner of the nation-wide competition „Jugend Musiziert“. Together with her piano partner, Mayuko Obuchi, she won 1st prize in the category `Lied Duo` at the competition "Kulturkreis Gasteig", Munich in 2015. As prize winners of the "Sommerakademie Mozarteum" 2015, the two young artists gave a concert at the Salzburg Festival. Katharina Konradi is a scholarship-holder of the Paul-Hindemith-Society Berlin, the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation 'Live Music Now' Munich, and the prestigious funding body of the German People (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).

​Born in Bischkek, Kirgizia, Katharina Konradi’s singing education began in 2009 with Julie Kaufmann at the Universität der Künste Berlin, where she studied Lied and Lied Interpretation with Axel Bauni and Eric Schneider. She finished her Master‘s degree in Lied Interpretation in summer 2016 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Munich with Christiane Iven, Donald Sulzen, and Fritz Schwinghammer. She completed her studies in master classes with Mrs. Prof. Klesie Kelly-Moog in Cologne and Mr. Prof. Helmut Deutsch in Salzburg.

From the Big Bang to the first humans. On tour with Haydn's Creation
Haydn’s great oratorio “The Creation” is about nothing less than the creation of the world. At the beginning of February, Katharina Konradi will be going on tour with the Balthasar Neumann Choir & Ensemble under the musical direction of Thomas Hengelbrock. She can be heard as Eve on the following nights: February 2nd at Konzerthaus Dortmund; 3rd at Philharmonie Luxembourg; and 04th at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. Singing alongside her is Lothar Odinius in his signature role as Uriel.
